October 2013 showed some increased momentum across most automotive segments. The economy sedan class was tightly contested and Honda Civic surged ahead past the Corolla for the number one sales spot for the month and for the year. There was some place shuffling and the Chevrolet Cruze finds itself in third spot.

The mid-size sedan segment ranking mostly reflected previous months. However, the Hyundai Sonata took over fifth place from still declining Chevrolet Malibu. Ford Fusion saw big growth in October and is knocking on the door to get into the top three and overtake the Altima.
